Corpus luteum hormone (progesterone); 1. Changes the endometrium into a secretory phase endometrium (implantation of fertilized egg)
2. Hyperthermic action (stimulation of heat center)
3. Inhibition of LH secretion
4. Reduction of oxytocin susceptibility of the uterus (prevention of abortion)
Follicular hormone (estrogen) agonist. It is readily induced from estrone, exhibits a potent estrus effect and is effective orally.
