The Italian company (whose quality systemcomplies with ISO13485 and ISO9001) is a leader in the field of medicalequipment for hospital wards of medium and low intensity of care and is activein the design, development and marketing of wireless medical systems, based on cutting-’edgetechnology, for the welfare and health of man and woman of the thirdmillennium.

The patented product consists of a mainmodule where up to six sensors can be inserted to monitor physiological data.It also includes slots for the battery and the wireless communication module(Bluetooth and WiFi). The device is small (130 x 87.9 x 32.5 mm), weighs around200 grams and has a battery lifespan of 12 hours. The device is placed on apouch which makes it non-invasive, extremely easy to use and comfortable towear for the patient. The main attributes of the product are its modularity andsystem auto configuration. These are part of the patent claims and areconsidered an inventive step with respect to the state of the art. Thanks toits modular system, the device is a flexible and easy to use tool. Different“digital bricks” can be assembled together to fulfill the specific user needsin relation to physiological parameters that need to be monitored (i.e. bodytemperature, heart rate, etc.). Users can simply replace and/or add the sensorsdepending on what they want to monitor and no additional effort is requiredwhen performing these actions as everything has been designed to be as simpleas a plug&play activity.

It is a cost effective system that allowsboth to monitor a range of physiological data as well as multi parameters byusing just one core device, thus creating the possibility to exploit thetypical advantages of economies of scale. Besides, the most significantfinacial benefit is represented by the cost reduction deriving from improvedinternal processes, decreases the number of hospitalization days and anincrease in the number of patients that can be monitored directly from home(remote patient monitoring process).
